Shannon Strow joined Statehouse Impact Group in September of 2026, and brings a strategic, relationship-driven approach to government affairs, combining a strong command of the legislative process with an ability to turn complex policy priorities into effective advocacy. With experience representing nonprofit organizations, public-sector entities, and the financial services industry, Shannon has built trusted relationships with members of the Ohio General Assembly, legislative staff, state agencies, and stakeholders across Ohio. She is known for her ability to see both the policy and the people behind an issue - developing thoughtful strategies, building coalitions, and creating opportunities for clients to effectively tell their stories to policymakers. 

 

Prior to joining Statehouse Impact Group, Shannon served as Manager of Government Affairs at LMK Advocacy, where she advised clients on legislative, regulatory, and budgetary matters before the Ohio General Assembly and state government. In that role, she developed and executed comprehensive government relations strategies for a diverse portfolio of nonprofit and public-sector clients, helping organizations translate their missions and priorities into compelling policy objectives. Her work included monitoring and analyzing legislation, preparing testimony and policy communications, engaging directly with lawmakers and state agencies, and guiding clients through Ohio's legislative and budget processes.

Shannon also has extensive experience designing and executing large-scale advocacy initiatives that bring policymakers and constituents together. She played a leading role in Ohio's Developmental Disabilities Awareness and Advocacy Day, one of the state's largest annual grassroots advocacy events, coordinating hundreds of advocates and more than 100 legislative meetings at the Ohio Statehouse. Her work has focused not simply on creating access to policymakers, but on ensuring advocates and organizations are prepared to use that access effectively – turning lived experience, organizational expertise, and community priorities into meaningful conversations that can move public policy.

Before joining LMK Advocacy, Shannon served as Government Relations Coordinator for the Ohio Bankers League, where she advocated on behalf of Ohio's banking industry at both the state and federal levels. She worked closely with banking leaders and policymakers, managed the day-to-day operations and compliance responsibilities of the Ohio BankPac, and coordinated the association's annual Washington, D.C. Fly-In and Day at the Capitol.

Shannon earned her Juris Doctor from Capital University Law School, where her studies focused on legislation, political and policy advocacy, and election law. She earned her bachelor's degree in political science, with a concentration in global politics and a minor in music, from Otterbein University and studied foreign policy through American University's Washington Semester Program in Washington, D.C.

A native of northwest Ohio, Shannon grew up on her family's Shorthorn cattle farm and has called central Ohio home since college. Outside of the Statehouse, she can usually be found trying a new restaurant, spending time with friends and family, or keeping up with her beloved Detroit Tigers.
