Dave Salisbury

Vice President

After almost a decade of leading the healthcare policy practice at Statehouse Impact Group (formerly Sean P. Dunn and Associates), Dave Salisbury currently serves in a firm leadership role as Vice President. Dave is known on Capitol Square for his strong relationships and his deep expertise in healthcare policy, which he developed through numerous roles in state government. Dave inspires confidence through his knowledge, integrity, and relentless effort to achieve the goals of the client.

Prior to joining Statehouse Impact Group, Dave served the people of Ohio in Governor John Kasich’s administration. There he worked closely with cabinet directors and state agency leadership to develop and implement the Governor's policy agenda before the General Assembly. Dave’s work focused on coordinating and executing lobbying strategies and messaging for all health and human services state agencies to achieve large policy and budgetary reforms.  During this time, Dave functioned as the legislative director for the Department of Medicaid, where he gained extensive experience in the rulemaking and State Controlling Board processes.

Before joining the executive branch, Dave built trusted relationships with state legislators while fundraising for House Republican campaigns and clerking the Health and Human Services Finance subcommittee for Chairman Jeff McClain.

Dave’s interest in Ohio politics was sparked while working in the Page Program at the Ohio Statehouse and earning a degree from The Ohio State University. He is also a 2020 graduate of Leadership Columbus, and was elected by his peers to the Board of Trustees to the Ohio Lobbying Association. In his free time, he enjoys watching sports and loves rooting for all Cleveland teams.  Dave resides in Eastmoor with his wife and five daughters.
